A Little Bit About Hyejin
I grew up in South Korea, where academic success in math came with intense pressure.
At home, I’d ask my dad for help, but we’d both end up frustrated. He couldn’t understand why I didn’t get it, and I didn’t know how to explain what I was missing.

Years later, while tutoring in university, I met students just like my younger self. I focused on helping them make sense of math by building on what they already knew — drawing on everyday situations and familiar ideas. When students saw how it all fit together, they didn’t just learn — they lit up with confidence.

Their progress ignited a spark in me. After moving to Canada, I pursued a degree in education and graduated with distinction. Today, I work as a teacher, parent coach, and math consultant, supporting students, families, and educators. I believe math should feel clear, approachable, enjoyable, and empowering—and I’m here to help make that happen.
