Founder's Story - Hyejin Park

I experienced math as something to memorize and repeat, often disconnected from the world around me growing up. Everything changed when I discovered the beauty of math: patterns, relationships, and ideas.  Math is a way to make sense of the real-world, and a tool to imagine the abstract world.

I founded Thinking Lion so our team can help children experience math as meaningful, engaging, and empowering, beyond just a school subject.

Our goal is:
To help children build a strong, joyful foundation in math,

developing intuition, connections, and thinking skills for life.​​

How We Work

  • Start from what the child already knows

  • Make abstract ideas visible through models, play, and real-world connections

  • Encourage conversation, reasoning, and explanation

  • Create a warm and supportive learning environment where confidence grows naturally​​

Supporting families in making math learning at home natural and manageable.
